Heritage Engineer Boot Made in USA
The Wesco Mister Lou Engineer Boot is one of the most iconic engineer boots currently made in the USA. Handmade in Scappoose, Oregon, this legendary Wesco design combines vintage engineer boot proportions with the uncompromising durability the brand is known for.
Built on the refined MP last with a narrower shaft and tighter heel cup than traditional Wesco engineer models, the Mister Lou offers a cleaner silhouette without sacrificing the rugged character of a true work-inspired boot.
This version is crafted from exceptional Horween black horsehide leather — thick yet surprisingly supple from the start. The leather develops remarkable depth and character over time, darkening beautifully while maintaining the rich pull-up effect and tonal variation horsehide is prized for.
Horween Black Horsehide Leather
The Horween horsehide used for this Mister Lou is both handsome and highly versatile. While durable enough for decades of wear, it breaks in comfortably and quickly adapts to the shape of the foot.
Over time, the leather develops a deep patina with pronounced character, making every pair unique. Combined with the structured toe box and vintage-inspired details, the result is a boot that feels authentic from the very first wear.
Vintage Wesco Details
The Mister Lou 7600 features numerous vintage-inspired construction details highly regarded by engineer boot enthusiasts:
- Narrow engineer shaft
- Triple needle stitching throughout the upper
- Coveted V-stitch backstay
- Structured MP toe
- Solid brass roller buckles
- Dr. Sole half outsole and heel combination
- Waxed edges
- Double stitched Goodyear welt construction
The combination of heritage styling and rebuildable construction makes the Mister Lou a true lifetime boot.
Handmade in Scappoose, Oregon
Every pair is handmade at the legendary Wesco factory in Scappoose, Oregon, USA. Like all traditional Wesco boots, the Mister Lou can be rebuilt and resoled for decades of continued wear.
