The Baley Salem is a tried and true Bailey classic Toyo braid fedora.

It features a center dent crown and 2" snap brim and is available in a neutral color palette with a custom pop color striped grosgrain hatband. Lightweight and crushable, the Salem is the perfect on-the-go fedora that you can wear all summer long.

Fedora

The name of the Fedora hat goes back to the eponymous play "Fédora" in 1882. In the 1940s and 50s, it was mainly worn by film noir characters and became known as the Bogart hat thanks to Humphrey Bogart.

Typical features are a medium-wide brim (bent downwards at the front, curved at the back) and a crown with a hatband that is pinched on both sides

Toyo braid (Toyolene)

Toyo straw is a lightweight and flexible material made from cellulose fiber and nylon that are joined together in a tightly braided fashion. The combination of these materials sewn together in this way gives the end material added strength and structure.

We ship freight-free with DHL within Germany for purchases over €50. For a small additional charge, we also ship by express with UPS. You will be given this option during the checkout process before purchase.

European Union

We ship with DHL or UPS within Europe. Freight costs will be calculated at checkout depending on your location . You can also choose DHL or UPS at checkout.

We charge local VAT on the purchase price. Since we are a German shop, we display our prices with our local VAT of 19%. In some European countries, the VAT is slightly higher and this is added to the price.

We ship worldwide with DHL or UPS.
