The Otterwax Heat-Activated Fabric Dressing is the ultimate treatment for waxed and unwaxed canvas, tin cloth, and oilskin gear. Designed for enthusiasts of heritage outerwear, canvas field jackets, and vintage outdoor garments, this 100% natural wax penetrates deep into fabric fibers to deliver long-lasting waterproof protection and a rugged, factory-waxed finish.

Unlike standard rub-on wax bars, this hot-application formula melts down fully to allow for maximum saturation, faster curing, and superior performance. Perfect for restoring weather resistance to well-worn workwear or adding protection to raw canvas items like bags, pants, or jackets.

How to apply hot wax:

Place the metal tin in approx. 1.5” of cool water
Gently simmer using a heating element until fully melted
Apply to fabric using a natural-bristle brush or lint-free cloth
Rub wax into fabric with your hands to ensure even distribution
Use only as much wax as the fabric can absorb
Allow to cure for 24–48 hours
Spot-clean with Otter Wax Canvas Cleaner
Deodorize with Otter Wax Odor Eliminator as needed
